Ron and Joyce were married on July 19th, 2015.  They held their reception at the beautiful Arrowhead Golf Course in Roxborough.  This couple is funny, full of life, and super fun to work with.  It was my first time meeting them in person, and it was easy to see the love between these two.  Arrowhead is a stunning golf course surrounded by the most beautiful rock formations you could ever imagine.  There are amazing views in every direction and it is just a magical place to be.  The reception was elegant and perfect down to the little details.

Yesterday was a very special day as two of my friends tied the knot.  I was not only lucky enough to be invited to the wedding, but I had the honor of being their photographer.  I have known Eric for seven years and Diana for five and I adore them both.  They are an awesome couple and along with her three daughters, they make a beautiful family.

They held their ceremony and reception on the property of their good friends and it was perfect.  The girls got ready in the 1920’s house and the boys were busy getting everything in order outside.

When I went to see how the boys were doing, I was greeted by Eric’s 92 year old grandma who is the cutest lady I have ever met.  She was dressed amazing and even had on sequent Sperry shoes.  The ceremony was touching and I had to focus on not tearing up when Eric gave his sweet vows.

During photos, Eric’s groomsmen decided they needed a picture jumping on the trampoline and I was SHOCKED the thing held up…. they were almost touching the ground.

The reception was to follow and was full of events including a song by Diana’s father, a Beetles cover, and a surprise choreographed dance led by Diana’s oldest daughter.  Fun was had by all and I’m so happy these two found one another.

Maureen and Jerome are one of the nicest couples I’ve ever met, and working with them was such a pleasure.  They were married at the historic and beautiful St. Ignatius Church in Denver.  This church was breathtaking…

The ceremony was very nice and the flower girl entertained herself by walking back up the isle and picking up the petals she had dropped on her way down.  After the ceremony we headed to City Park to walk around the lake and take some photos.  We had mapped out locations a couple weeks ago so we knew where to go.

After City Park, we headed to The Courtyard Marriott Cherry Creek for the reception.  The views from the 11th floor ball room were unreal and had a 180 degree view of the mountains and Denver.  The food was amazing and the kids had a blast dancing and helping themselves to the candy bar.

Jen and Matt held their ceremony and reception at The Briarwood Inn in beautiful Golden, Colorado.  The venue, the food, the flowers…. perfection.  The weather kept everyone on their toes as rain moved in and out throughout the afternoon, but that just added to the beauty.  This bunch was incredible lovely to work with and very, very fun.

I first met up with Jen at a cute little house in Golden where the girls were all getting ready.  I was greeted by Jen and Matt’s adorable dog Remy, who was patiently waiting outside to be let in.  I walked into a great Pandora station playing, everyone getting hair and make up done, and flowers sitting on the table ready to be wrapped.  We took the preparation pictures and headed to Downtown Golden for the first look.

Matt’s face was priceless as he spotted Jen in her gorgeous wedding dress.  We started the pictures and within a half hour the rain started.  Luckily, they had arranged a party bus, yes a party bus which contained a cooler full of beer, to haul us around to different locations for pictures.  Where to go in Golden for indoor pictures you ask???  The Coors brewery of course.  Once our time was up, we headed to the venue.

If you haven’t been to The Briarwood Inn, put it on your list of restaurants to try.  The place is simply stunning.  The weather had cleared a bit and they deemed it was safe to hold the ceremony outside.  It started out clear and wonderful and about halfway through the rain invited itself right on in.  It didn’t bother anyone, and to be honest, was kind of awesome.  The ordained minister was one of a kind with his wit and handlebar mustache and I’m pretty sure he made a couple people cry because they were laughing so hard.

The cocktail hour and reception to follow were full of laughs, drinks, amazing food, conversation, and dancing.  What a lovely day and amazing couple.

It may be cold… but it sure is beautiful in Colorado!

It was a great Sunday with two family portrait sessions.  It started out as a beautiful morning, and quickly became so very cold.  The first session was with the Gish family in Downtown Littleton.  We were not prepared for the bitter cold wind that rolled in but they were troopers and we had a good time… especially when we stopped for hot chocolate.

Oh so cold

The second session was in Roxborough State Park which was absolutely breathtaking.  The Shimonek family was prepared with coats and blankets which definitely helped the kids persevere through pictures.  Emma was a little doll and Owen was full of personality and showed it off by sticking his tongue out when I said smile, haha.  The foggy and overcast weather made for some really cool and beautiful shots.
